In this particular video I was discussing what I learned from the mistakes we made during the Amusements, Inc. activity. In a classroom this strategy could be incredibly effective because you are requiring students to not only think about their mistakes, but you are asking them to verbalize those mistakes in a way that they can fix the issues in the future. Students will love this activity becuase they will be able to watch themselves on video. It is also a good thing to add to your class website so that parents can see what you are working on in class and see their students engaged in learning.
TARGETED EXERCISE
~SHADOW PUPPET~
After the By Golly By gum activity, each group was asked to RERUN the activity and record this within a Shadow Puppet. Shadow Puppet is an app that allows a presenter to verbally annotate a slide show of pictures. This is helpful because it is a way for students to prepare a presentation that everyone can watch without having to use class time to watch every single one. You could draw a group randomly to watch, and place the rest on the website for students to access. You are also able to make students go back and think of the activity as a whole to understand its purpose and what they learned from it.
